Slider Card

Card stock 5 1/2 x 11. Scored at 3 1/2, 7, and 10 1/2 inches. Cut a 1/4in slot in the first .panel. I cut it about 1 inch from the top and 1 1/2 inches from the bottom. This needs to be a smooth cut.
I cut (2) one inch circles and added a small square dementional to the center of one circle. Then I put it in the slot from the back so I can see it.
Next, remove the cover and line up the two circles. They will now slide easily in the slot. (beats the heck out of shopping bag strips)
This is the hardest part of making a slider card. Next make the sliding insert 3 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches. punch a hole in the top center for a ribbon pull. You can stamp it now or later. You may want to just have room to write a note.I also punched a notch in the center panel so the ribbon can be grasped.

This is where it all up to you about decorating your card. I am just giving you an example. So let's get this finished because there are a couple of important steps about the slide and folding the card.
Move the circles to the lowest part of the slot. I put 3 small "glue dots" on the circle, lined the top of the slider with the top of the card. pressed it to the circle. Slides up and down pretty slick.

Fold the first section over the top of the center section. This puts the decorated slider in the center. Now fold the 1/2 inch edge toward the center. Add your glue strip and fold the card closed by lining up the edges. Nice neat back and nothing inside to interupt the sliding.
Now have fun decorating the front of your card!!!
Slide it open and closed as many times as you like. It should work like a charm!
